Frequently Asked Questions

I hope that my Home and Services: What Can I Expect? pages have given you a good idea of what our counselling sessions could look like.

Below are some common questions, and you can of course contact me with any other queries you may have.

If you get in touch with me, we'll look at our diaries for the coming days and arrange a short intro call that's free of charge. This way, we can chat about what support you'd find helpful right now, and what our counselling sessions together might look like. Plus, you can get a good idea of whether I'm 'your kind of person'.

I currently offer counselling sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday daytimes. Usually people choose to meet weekly or fortnightly, but I'm always happy to discuss alternatives that might work for you.

Some people choose to have counselling for a number of weeks or months, and some for a number of years. It's completely up to you, and we can bring our sessions to an end or pause whenever you feel it's right for you.

Currently I am working with individual adults aged 18+.

What you say in counselling is confidential so I won't share any content from our sessions together, unless I feel that you or anyone else is at serious risk of harm. This is standard practice for registered counsellors, and we can talk through any questions it raises for you at any point.

To read in more detail about how I protect your personal information in general, please see my Privacy Notice.

Sessions are £55 for a 50 minute session, payable before a session please.

If you are on a low income, please see my Fees and Further Information page for more information on concessions. There may also be other low-cost / no-cost counselling services available within your local community.

The best thing to do is to contact me via the link below. You don't need to go into detail, as we can then arrange a quick call to see if we're a good fit for each other.

I'll get back to your enquiry as soon as possible, and I aim for within 24 hours.
