About Me
I qualified as a counsellor in 2010 with a Foundation Degree in Counselling, awarded with Distinction, from the University of Bristol. I spent the following years working mainly in the charity sector, in counselling, advocacy, parental support, youth outreach and management roles. I also provided counselling within community, NHS and education settings.
I set up my counselling practice in spring 2022, having stumbled upon an outdoor therapy practice in rural Denmark years earlier and announced, "I'm going to have a sign like that, one day!". I really love what I do.
My core training can be described as person-centred and integrative. In a nutshell, that means that I believe that you've ultimately got the answers within yourself. I might offer up elements of different approaches (such as solution-focused therapy) to help you explore your issues, increase in confidence and work out your options.
If you feel we could be a good fit, we can arrange a call so that we can explore whether I'm the right person for you.
My counselling fees
My fee for a 50 minute outdoor / online counselling session is £55, with payment before a session.
If you are on a low income (and subject to availability), I may be able to offer counselling at lower cost. Feel free to get in touch to check availability.
And one more thing...
If you're interested in going walking more generally in the Tonbridge area, there are some beautiful routes on the Walk Tonbridge website. It's often nicer exploring your local countryside if you know where the hidden gems are, after all.
